top five pice of work

Here are my top 5 pieces of work

number 5Wet Wild Windy wainui

freezing wind pushed me towards the shiny smooth beach.

The tiny cabbage tree with olive green leaves  swayed peacefully.

A mushy yellow  plant top and the skinny white stem  slowly staggered back and forth

My feet were being fried by the sizzling  bright yellow sand.

Fidget seawater hit me like a sword piercing my skin.

A wave hit me.

The force felt like a powerful hurricane.

Shore felt like a pirate lost at sea  finally finding land

I got up and sprinted back to the warm comfy car.

The skilful balance

I slowly shuffled towards the cliff.

My gaze went down as I stared at the deep navy blue ocean.

Peering at the muddy yellow sunset the sun retied to the sparkling ocean .

My carbon black shoes lifted as I maneuvered into a balance position

I was the tiniest of birds landing on the skimpiest  branch

I was snapped out of my day dream as I slipped off the dirt cliff.

My incomplete life flashed before me.

In my mind I knew I would hit the slippery brown rocks

“The eleven year old boy was on a windy wainui cliff that died on impact.”

Clean drinking water In africa

Clean drinking water is a human right. The average bottled water markup is 4000%.Many people can not afford this so they have to drink and use contaminated  water.Peter Brabeck Letmathe served as Nestles CEO from 1997 to 2008 said“That means as a human being you should have a right to water that’s an extreme solution”.Every year 3,575,000 millon people die because of contamanited 2,200,000 millon of these people are children I think that everyone whose water has been contaminated past safe levels should be provided clean water.

What makes a great teacher?

I thought I might ask my friends

“A teacher listens to you and respects you”

“One that will stay in to help you”

“A teacher that does fun activities”

“Does physical education”

What makes a good teacher? A good teacher should have a sense of humour.

They need to be able to know when to kid around and when to be serious.

They should know their student’s ability or strengths and weaknesses so they know when their student is slacking and when they are working hard. They should be patient.

The teacher should be able to make any subject a treat from copying out textbooks to learning about huge battles

They should be able to teach in different ways to different needs. Some people learn by writing it and some by doing it practically.

They have to be able to take constructive criticism and suggestions and change their lessons towards their student’s liking.

They should have a prepared lesson so there is a strong lesson plan. They should be able to communicate what they want to be done.

Be able to put themself into the student’s shoes and not set crazy amounts of work and set the tasks to be engaging.

They should be a mentor and support the students and be like a parent at school and guide you in your school experience.

Be able to plan lesson to what is happing in the student’s lives and make the lesson interactive and let students add on to the lessons

The teacher should use technology and don’t repeat them self and try not to do huge amounts of paperwork

teachers should have classroom games and have a point system for work or having good behaviour and have a set of classroom rules

Make your lessons exciting and have a little bit of mystery and have a good personality so student look forward to your class

In conclusion for someone to be one of the great teachers like Kenyan Peter Tabich who has been teaching for 12 years.

He was named the best teacher in the world.

If you want to be a great teacher you have to be everything on this piece of writing and more.

Year 8

Anzac parade

I stand at dawn the cold slowly numbing me.

Remembering what people only a few years older than me did to protect their countries and fight against evil.

Many had to sacrifice their life for the freedom we have now. They held heavy weapons as they stopped the march of evil. The living conditions were ripe with diseases that made life even more unbearable.

They fought so that we could have freedom and comforts. So that we could speak freely and have our own opinions.

We don’t have to hide our religion or watch what we say for the fear of prosecuted and

We fought so that  don’t have to live behind an iron curtain and were not isolated

We stand on this day as a result of the battle that took place 116-years ago. The allied forces some still only children landed at Gallipoli to fight a battle against the odds. Their strength pushed back our enemies. Over 130,000 soldiers died at the landing of Anzac cove these included the allied soldiers of Britan, 8700 Australians and 2779 New Zealand. I reflect on the sentence lest we forget it means we shall not forget the sacrifice that our soldiers gave. It also means that we should always be grateful for what we have because we don’t have to fight in a war or have our family ripped apart in the name of war.

I felt it is not that bad to wake up at dawn to remember the death that happened to defend freedom.
